Yesterday I recieved my latest piece of kit. A new Dell Inspiron 6400! Wohooo! It’s absolutely amazing. I used to despise laptops and to a certain extent I still do. The expensive upgrades, extra attention to being careful is all too much for me. However, after getting this laptop I’m really reconsidering my thoughts.
I purchased my laptop at Empire Direct for a bargain price (£399-£8 [discount voucher]).

It’s about time I had a laptop. I’ll certainly need it for when I go University in September. I initially had a problem with this laptop when I first started it. There was a delay in the sound. After a quick search I soon corrected the problem.
If your Dell Inspiron 6400 has slow or lagging sound do the following:
Right click on the speaker icon in the taskbar.
Select playback devices > double click on Speakers (or click once and press the properties button)
On the popup dialogue box select enhancements> tick “disable all enhancements”.
Close all the windows which you opened. The problem should be now fixed.
Last March I set out to transform my pc case into a piece of art. This was the first such experiment that I was about to conduct and it soon turned out to be a valueable experiance. Before we begin you should know that I like to name all my computers (in order of arrival to my home) as VBU<n>. So, VBU1,VBU2 and so on..
Please also pardon the informal language that I used below. I guess you have to let your standards slip (slighty) when your working hard at making the right cut.
So let’s take a look at what I did. The original project log can be found here.

SEO (search engine optimization) is a real pain for anyone who boards the boat of web development. Ever since the introduction of this new blog I seem to have lost my page rank. This has cost me dearly as previously when you typed in Varinder, Varinder Singh, Varinder Bola or even Varinder Singh Bola in Google this website would appear right at the top.
Hopefully I can regain my position as the top result once again but it’s such a nuisance configuring your website so works well with search engines!

Note: this is the essay which got me featured in the local paper back in 2007. I am aware of a few grammatical mistakes. These mistakes were all ammended before submitted my essay.
The show begins.
Last month we, the public were exposed to a show called ‘Big Brother’. The show’s objective is to keep a group of celebrities in a house for three weeks. The celebrities are expelled from the regular society in which we live. The outside world cannot communicate with them and they are subjected to odd task’s to help them pass time.
Originally, this show attracted many viewers as odd as it may seem. It was the first prime example of ‘reality TV’ here in the UK. Over the past few years the show drastically lost ratings. The public had recovered from their ’short period of reality tv sickness’. People realised, watching average people live in a house and fulfil there everyday duties was not better than getting off the couch and ‘getting a life’.
Something had to be done.

This behavior occurs for several reasons. Some computer and hardware manufacturers provide their own configuration software that replaces the Wireless Zero Configuration service that is provided in Windows. In that case, you must use the software that is provided by the manufacturer to configure your wireless network. If you want to use the Wireless Network Setup Wizard or the View Available Wireless Networks feature to configure your wireless device, see the documentation that came with your computer or with your wireless network card. Use this documentation to determine whether you can use the Wireless Zero Configuration service to configure your wireless network. Sometimes, you cannot use the Windows functionality.
To start the Wireless Zero Configuration service, follow these steps:
1. Click Start, click Run, type %SystemRoot%\system32\services.msc /s, and then click OK.
2. Double-click Wireless Zero Configuration.
3. In the Startup type list, click Automatic, and then click Apply.
4. In the Service status area, click Start, and then click OK.
